Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Mesa, AZ. This role requires 1 year of PT experience (6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates) and BLS with state licensing. The position runs 40 hours/week for 13 weeks, with a 10-hour daytime shift.

Travel PTs oversee PTAs, document patient care, and coordinate with Medical Center staff to implement care plans. We offer weekly pay, guaranteed hours, continuing education, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of travel PT experience; 1 year preferred, 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within respective setting following guidelines.
• Adhere to PT board rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify plan as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and/or insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Mesa, AZ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
