Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Plainville, CT. The role offers 40 hours per week with day shifts and a supportive clinical team. Start date is soon after onboarding, with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred)
• Physical Therapy experience preferred but new grads welcome
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized rehab programs based on assessments and goals.
• Implement PT plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment safely and calibrate devices.
• Assess progress and adjust plans; document outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OT and others to coordinate care.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-management.
• Maintain safety through infection control and safety guidelines.
• Participate in QA and ongoing professional development.
• Assist in discharge planning for community or home settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
