Essential Work Functions

• Evaluate patients’ conditions with tests, examinations, and history to identify functional limitations.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement treatment plans using techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively.
• Assess patient progress, adjust plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Required Essential Skills
