Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome
- Other certifications or licenses as required for this position
Essential Work Functions
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient histories
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
- Assist in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings
- Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Essential Skills

- English literacy and written communication competence
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use PC skills
- Physical abilities: stationary positions, moving about, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a positive attitude
- Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assisting with procedures, using equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, occasional close supervision, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
