American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Physical Therapist for a critical access hospital in Bryson City, NC. Candidates must have pelvic and pediatric experience in acute and outpatient care, with a 13-week travel assignment and a standard 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

Requirements include 1–2 years of experience, AHA certifications, and an active PT license. The role spans acute, outpatient, and short-term rehab, with a 1-on-1 patient ratio and no on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• 13-week travel assignment with an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift.
• Work across acute, outpatient, and short-term rehab settings.
• Facility includes 48 acute care beds and 25 short-term rehab beds.
• 1-on-1 patient ratio in outpatient, acute, and short-term rehab care.
• Uses Redoc for outpatient documentation and Paragon for acute and short-term rehab documentation.
• Weekend hours and float requirements dependent on position, to be discussed during interview.
• No on-call requirements.
• Every other weekend rotation.
• Hospital serves four westernmost counties of North Carolina, offering primary, inpatient, emergency, imaging, rehabilitation, urology, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, pediatric, and gastroenterology services.
• Located in Bryson City, NC, near the Great Smoky Mountains with access to hiking, biking, and kayaking.
• Orientation scheduled periodically throughout October through December 2026.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel assignment.
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
• Open to first-time travelers.
