Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to perform phlebotomy and related specimen collection tasks across client locations. This role requires travel within a designated region and on-site work at PSCs or in-office PSTs, with a focus on accuracy and courteous patient care.

Essential duties include greeting clients, collecting specimens, documenting data in Pathconnect, and maintaining proper paperwork and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience considered.
• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client assignments within region on short notice.
• Greet customers courteously and maintain professional behavior.
• Collect specimens accurately and on time per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection to patients clearly.
• Dispose of biohazardous waste per laws and policies.
• Enter patient and test information into Pathconnect and other systems.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Maintain daily PSC/IOPST logs and assist with monthly statistics.
