Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to support the Patient Service Center and in-office PST roles. The position requires travel to client locations and interaction with clients, patients, and PathGroup personnel in a professional manner.

The role includes accurate specimen collection, processing, data entry, and adherence to safety and privacy procedures as part of daily operations. Travel may be required to cover client sites and maintain service levels.

Responsibilities

• Ready to travel to a client assignment within a designated region with short notice.
• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field patient service and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains the venipuncture process clearly.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids or tissue in accordance with laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in Pathconnect and other PathGroup applications.
• Enters patient and billing information into computer systems with high attention to detail.
• Maintains required records and documentation and daily logs.
• Performs electronic data entry and assists with periodic inventory counts.
• Uses PPE and follows lab safety procedures to protect patient and staff.
