Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining equipment, and communicating with patients and lab staff. Travel within designated geography may be required; a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are required.

Formación

• Six months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification may be required by state.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; reliable transportation and driving record may be needed.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipunctures and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and minimize anxiety.
• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and department trainings.
