Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to travel to client sites and perform phlebotomy with accuracy and timeliness. The role involves interaction with patients and clients, handling specimens, and maintaining detailed records in Pathconnect.

The position requires travel, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently while following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years of related experience may be considered.
• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Travel to client assignments within a designated region with short notice.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Ensure specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection to patients clearly and calmly.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Process requisitions in Pathconnect and related systems; enter data accurately.
• Maintain PSC/IOPST logs and daily records.
• Perform basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
