Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This 13‑week assignment offers 40 hours per week, days shift, with travel-friendly rotation.

The Pediatric OR RN will prepare the OR, assist in surgery, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety. Strong qualifications include 1 year pediatric OR RN experience, active RN license, BLS, and PALS or ENPC.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Pediatric Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS or ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety according to procedural requirements.
• Maintains a sterile field throughout surgical procedures that adheres to infection control protocols and sterile technique.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments, supplies, and support promptly to maintain efficient workflow.
• Monitors patient's condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon of any significant changes.
• Handles surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring their proper use, sterilization, and disposal according to facility protocols.
