Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. You will provide urgent pediatric emergency care, collaborate with a clinical team, and uphold high standards of patient safety while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Pediatric ER RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to pediatric patients and families in age-appropriate terms.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per pediatric protocols.
• Operate pediatric emergency equipment and assist physicians.
• Ensure safety and comfort of pediatric patients in the ED.
• Perform vital sign assessments using tools like Broselow tape.
• Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families on care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
