Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a PCU/Stepdown assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. The role includes night shifts on a 12-hour schedule with telemetry and EPIC EMR, in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting. Requires 2+ years PCU/Stepdown experience and active NE or compact RN license.

Compensation is $2,356 per week for 36 hours, with a comprehensive benefits package, travel reimbursement, and per diem options. Travel and licensure support provided to help you start quickly.

Qualifications

• Active NE or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years recent PCU/Stepdown nursing experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications all active.
• Telemetry competency is required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Driver's license submitted for address verification.
• Two references: supervisor within 12 months and another within 3 years.
• Cannot have worked for CommonSpirit facilities in past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 55-bed PCU/Stepdown unit on the 4th Floor East Wing.
• Care for adult patients, some cases 15+ years old.
• Manage telemetry and administer PCU drips and meds including PCA, Cardizem, insulin.
• RN-to-patient ratio 1:4 on day and night shifts.
• Float to med-surg areas as needed; support from CNAs and care team.
• Typical night shift 1830–0630 with every other weekend.
• Utilize Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps; NASA equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies; avoid artificial nails; navy scrub color.
