Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Progressive Care PCU Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Stanford, CA. The PCU RN will deliver patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients and perform clinical judgments with supervision, showing critical thinking and coordination of care.

Active RN license in the practice state, CPR as applicable, and compliance with standards are required. This travel position offers competitive pay with weekly paychecks and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred with one year progressive care unit experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• The Progressive Care Unit RN delivers patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients and makes clinical judgments with supervision
• Demonstrates critical thinking and coordination of patient care
• Performs nursing duties according to standards and assists others in managing patient care
• Also known as a step-down/intermediate unit in various centers
