Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week on a night shift with 12-hour blocks in the PCU.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS certifications. You will provide bedside care, manage IVs and dressings, administer medications, monitor monitors, and respond promptly to evolving patient conditions.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
