Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit in Tucson, AZ. The position runs 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, on a 13-week travel assignment starting 10/05/2026.

The RN will perform initial assessments within 8 hours of admission, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. ACLS/BLS are required prior to first shift and bedside experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• RN licensed; Basic nursing education required
• Two years bedside clinical experience is highly desired
• BLS required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develops and implements individualized care plans
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team
• Documents patient data and responses accurately
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs; initiates discharge planning
• Communicates changes in patient status; supervises ancillary staff
• Maintains safety and infection control standards; engages in ongoing professional development
