Job summary

TotalMed RN in Mayfield Heights, OH is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown (PCU) for a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights. This travel role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and appropriate certifications.

The PCU RN provides bedside care, monitors cardiac patients, administers meds, and manages IVs and dressings in a fast-paced environment. The role calls for strong clinical assessment and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1.5 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Must be eligible for Ohio RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Respond to monitoring indications with appropriate actions.
