Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse in Honesdale, PA for a 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week in a night shift. The RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and must hold ACLS/BLS certifications, with NIH encouraged.

The PCU role involves close patient monitoring, critical assessment, and coordination of care with a focus on stability and timely intervention.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience required.
• PCU/step-down exposure preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/NIH certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays; respond to alarms.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
