Job summary

TotalMed RN in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced RN for a travel PCU assignment. The position requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience with ACLS/BLS certifications.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week contract. As a PCU RN, you will monitor cardiac and vital signs, perform bedside care, manage IVs and dressings, and respond quickly to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS are required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor patient condition and interpret electronic monitoring displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data to prevent deterioration.
