Job summary

A travel nursing staffing agency is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a 12-week assignment in Augusta, Georgia. The role involves managing patient care in a Progressive Care Unit, with a required patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of critical care experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse in a hospital setting.
• 1:5/1:6 MS Tele and 1:3/1:4 PCU patient ratio experience required.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage nursing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Skills

Management of arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines

Care of ventilated patients and high-flow nasal cannula

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and IV management

Care and management of surgical drains, feeding tubes, and tracheostomies

Wound Care/Wound Vac, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management

Use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Telemetry and telemetry oncology experience

Experience with isolation precautions and PPE

Education

GA or Compact nursing license
