Job summary

TotalMed RN in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a PCU Travel Nurse (RN) for a 16-week assignment. The role requires 1-2 years acute care experience, 12-hour days, 48 hours per week, and a focus on step-down cardiac care.

You will monitor patients, perform bedside care, administer meds, manage IVs, operate cardiac monitoring equipment, and respond to changes quickly. Earn weekly pay with benefits and paid time off as part of a comprehensive travel package.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH certification mentioned as part of requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
