Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Topeka, Kansas. The PCU RN will monitor patients who require close observation and frequent assessment, utilizing telemetry and other equipment to detect changes and intervene when necessary.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS/BLS certifications. The role involves 12-hour day shifts on a travel assignment with competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Strong acute care experience (1–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret monitored data and respond to changes.
• Coordinate with the team to escalate care as needed.
