Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a Topeka, Kansas assignment. The PCU RN will monitor and care for patients requiring close observation, performing assessments and administering meds in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. The position offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Travel RN PCU assignment in Topeka, KS.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
