Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse PCU RN for a 13-week assignment in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role requires 1 year of acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, and involves 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

The PCU nurse monitors patients closely, manages meds, and responds to changes in patient condition. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will handle bedside care, IVs, dressings, and IV starts, with emphasis on cardiac monitoring and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication.
• Monitor and interpret electronic monitoring displays.
• Initiate corrective action from monitoring data.
