Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for an assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The PCU RN will monitor stable patients requiring close observation and may involve step-down care across cardiac, neuro, or surgical units.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS, and BLS; travel assignments with 12-hour day shifts and a 48-hour work week are offered with tax-free stipends where applicable.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• 2 years of acute care experience is preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret patient data from equipment and records.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
