Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. The PCU RN will monitor patients, administer meds, and respond to changes in condition while coordinating with the care team. Candidates should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

Compensation is based on 12-hour shifts with a 48-hour work week and tax-free stipends. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Interpret and record data from monitors and vital signs.
• Respond to changes in patient condition with timely intervention.
