Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The RN will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts in a PCU setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS and BLS. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and providing bedside care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitors and operate specialized equipment.
• Respond to adverse events and initiate corrective actions as needed.
