Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PCU RN travel nurse for a travel assignment in Phoenix, AZ. The position requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and a 13-week duration with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Travel RNs will monitor cardiac patients, manage meds and IVs, and respond to changes in condition. BLS/ACLS are required; additional certifications may be needed before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required; additional certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data
