TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. The PCU Travel Nurse will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment not requiring ICU care, often working 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
• React to changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action when needed.
