Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU position focusing on acute leukemia and hematology patients in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires an OH license, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and offers a 16-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

The assignment includes EPIC charting, infection and falls prevention emphasis, and a self-directed schedule subject to unit needs, with some weekends. First-time travelers are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response, IV therapy, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience using EPIC for charting

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients, mainly acute leukemia and hematology cases
• Telemetry monitoring and infection prevention focus
• Falls prevention for hematology/oncology patients
• Self-directed schedule with unit-needs and possible weekend shifts
• Use EPIC for computerized charting
• Orientation includes a week of days followed by 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor
