Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a Columbus, Ohio assignment. The role focuses on oncology and high-acuity PCU care with 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour workweek.

The candidate must hold an active OH or compact RN license and have 2+ years in high-acuity PCU or higher. Oncology experience is preferred; ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required. Orientation and strict infection control are part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state.
• Minimum 2 years of high acuity PCU or higher level experience.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds.
• Assigned to the Progressive Care Unit with a focus on oncology patients.
• Floating to MedSurg and various oncology PCU units required.
• PCU staffing ratios typically 1:3, may be 1:4 with mixed acuity.
• Night shift 19:00–07:30.
• Variable weekend requirements based on unit needs.
• Self-scheduling requests prior to final schedule posting.
