This assignment runs 13 weeks with a 36-hour week, featuring 12-hour night shifts and ACSU/stepdown responsibilities for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology and stroke conditions.

Qualifications

• RN license is required to submit.
• RNs are required to titrate drips.
• Must pass a pass/fail RN exam with a 90% score during orientation.
• Positive attitude, good communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Driver's license required at submittal to determine 50-mile radius.
• Care for adults and geriatric with cardiac, nephrology and stroke conditions; manage DM and EEG monitoring.
• Familiar with titratable drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers and seizure medications.

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips for adult and geriatric patients in PCU/stepdown.
• Provide care for cardiac, nephrology and stroke conditions.
• Monitor diabetes management and EEG where applicable.
• Collaborate within an acute care team to ensure safety and quality care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in orientation RN exam scoring requirements.
