Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for patients in a Progressive Care Unit, including cardiac telemetry, ER holding, med/surg telemetry, and step‑down level care.
• Manage respiratory distress up to, but excluding, ventilator care.
• Administer cardiac and other intravenous drips, including Cardizem, Diltiazem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Milrinone, and insulin drips.
• Perform sheath pulls.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5.
• Chart and document thoroughly using Epic EMR.
• Work night shifts (3×12‑hour) from 18:30–07:00, with on‑call and floating duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana (or a Compact state currently in hand).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with prior experience in cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/step‑down, or a similar setting.
• BLS and ACLS certificates required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Two professional references and valid driver’s license and Social Security card for consideration.
• First‑time travelers welcome; prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Black scrubs required.
