Assignment Details

• Hours: 36 hrs per week

Unit Description

• 22‑bed unit at a large academic teaching hospital with an average daily census of 20
• Adult and geriatric patient population, common cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
• Special procedures: burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system are used
• Floating within the health system is required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience required
• Experience with similar patient populations (burns, surgical, ENT, urology, GYN) preferred
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — co‑worker references are not accepted

• This is a travel position at an academic teaching hospital
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required upon booking; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete promptly
