Job summary

You will apply government accounting principles and help prepare travel requisitions and reimbursements.

The role requires strong data gathering, reconciliation, and reporting skills, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance with SAAM and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Gathers, compiles and reconciles fiscal data.
• Applies accounting principles in government finance.
• Reviews travel reimbursements and out-of-state travel expenses.
• Performs journey level accounting tasks in automated fiscal system.
• Ensures SAAM and agency policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve travel claims and out-of-state travel expenses.
• Enter and review travel-related documents in HRIS system.
• Execute quality control reviews on travel claims.
• Prepare reports showing performance trends for leadership.
• Escalate issues to supervisor as necessary.
• Assist in other accounting areas as assigned.
