ConnectedHealth seeks a Travel Paramedic for a 13-week contract near Mount Carmel, IL. You will perform advanced life support in county and hospital EMS settings, responding to 911 calls and stabilizing patients for transport.

The role requires an accredited Paramedic program completion, an Illinois Paramedic License (or eligibility), and current BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred). Expect two 24-hour shifts weekly, with competitive hourly pay and ongoing professional growth in emergency care.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited Paramedic education program.
• Current Illinois Paramedic License or eligibility to obtain Illinois licensure before assignment.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Valid drivers license and ability to meet applicable ambulance operation requirements.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound clinical judgment, and respond effectively to high-pressure emergency situations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to 911 emergency calls and provide advanced prehospital emergency medical care in county and hospital-based EMS settings.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify life-threatening conditions, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Administer medications, establish IV/IO access, and perform advanced airway management according to established EMS protocols.
• Provide advanced cardiac life support, including ECG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and defibrillation when indicated.
• Stabilize and transport critically ill or injured patients to appropriate medical facilities.
• Collaborate with emergency department physicians, nurses, dispatchers, and other first responders to coordinate patient care.
• Safely operate emergency medical equipment and assist with ambulance operations.
• Complete accurate patient care reports (PCRs) and maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes.
• Assist with interfacility transfers and emergency patient transport as assigned.
• Maintain readiness of ambulances, medical supplies, medications, and emergency equipment.
• Follow all applicable EMS protocols, safety regulations, infection control procedures, and patient confidentiality standards.
