Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The PACU RN will observe and care for post-anesthesia patients, ensuring safe recovery between surgery and room transfer.

The role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, BLS and PALS certifications, and a ability to work 12-hour shifts on a travel basis. Benefits and pay are based on shifts with sign-on packages and tax-free stipends as applicable.

Qualifications

• BLS and PALS certifications; 3+ years of acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Be responsible for determining when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• PACU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds at times).
• Possess the ability to cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
