Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This 13-week travel assignment requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, 40 hours per week, and rotating 8-hour shifts. The PACU RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia, create care plans, and report changes to the physician.

Strong stress management and patient-relations skills are essential. Required ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred for PACU travel RN.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-anesthesia patients as they recover from surgery.
• Develop and adjust individual care plans based on patient condition.
• Observe for adverse reactions and inform the physician as needed.
• Assess when patients are ready to move to an inpatient room.
