Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, monitor recovery, and support patients transitioning from the OR.

This role includes bedside assessments, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safe discharge planning and continuity of care across PACU and post-PACU units.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive post-anesthesia assessments and monitor recovery.
• Administer medications per PACU protocol.
• Document patient status and progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for discharge planning.
• Operate PACU equipment and respond to emergencies.
• Provide patient and family education on recovery.
