Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN PACU in Ames, IA. Assignment: 13 weeks, 36 hours weekly, 12-hour days. Travel opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits. The PACU RN will monitor post-anesthesia patients, ensure safe recovery, and communicate with the surgical team.

Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS and 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. Travel experience is a plus; candidates must be licensed RN and ready to start soon.

Qualifications

Current active RN license.
1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
Travel RN experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor post-anesthesia patients as they recover from anesthesia.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for PACU patients.
Monitor for adverse reactions and report changes to physicians.
Determine when patients are ready to transfer to a room or next care setting.
