Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN for PACU — Post Anesthesia Care in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This 13-week assignment requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, travel status, and RN certification with 1–2 years acute care experience.

The PACU RN will monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, develop care plans, and report changes to the physician. Expect a fast-paced environment and competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
