American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN for a PACU role requiring strong ICU experience and an active MD or Compact RN license. The position features a 28‑bay PACU with 1:2 patient ratios across life span, rotating 3x12 shifts, and on-call duties.

Travelers float as needed, with holiday coverage and navy scrubs. Open to first-time travelers; distance restrictions apply. Competitive benefits accompany assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required.
• BLS and ACLS at AHA standards required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.
• Previous charge nurse experience required.
• CPI certification required; Calm Every Storm accepted.
• NRP or AAP certification accepted; PALS and NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 28-bay PACU peri-anesthesia care 24/7 across lifespan.
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio.
• Rotate day/night 3x12 shifts; schedule dependent.
• On-call 1–2 12-hour shifts every 6 weeks.
• Floating within specialty as needed; travelers prioritized.
• Support 20+ surgical/procedural services (neuro, ortho, cardiac, etc.).
• Holiday coverage as scheduled.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• First-time travelers accepted for this position.
• Travelers must float with no restrictions.
• Candidates living <50 miles from hospital not accepted.
