Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel PACU RN for a 16-week assignment in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on post-anesthesia care, patient assessments, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safe recovery and discharge planning.

Requirements include one year of PACU RN experience, valid GA RN license, BLS, and ACLS. Preferred certifications include PALS/ENPC. Travel benefits and comprehensive benefits are offered by Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS or ENPC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and conduct comprehensive assessments of patients transferring from the operating room and assess their post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor and evaluate patient’s vital signs, level of consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved post-anesthesia nursing techniques.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of recovering patients.
• Observe and document patient conditions, treatments, and significant incidents and respond to anesthesia and treatments, notifying the care team of significant changes or adverse reactions.
• Develop and deliver individualized patient and family education plans, including discharge instructions and recovery guidelines.
