Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel assignments across top hospitals nationwide, including State College, Pennsylvania. The Travel PACU RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor vitals, manage pain, and ensure safe transitions from surgery to discharge or inpatient care.

Requirements include an active RN license (compact license preferred), BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred for pediatric PACU), and a

Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric PACU.
• Minimum 1 year of PACU, pre-op, or critical care experience.
• Strong post-op assessment and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-anesthesia patients for pain, consciousness, and complications.
• Administer medications, including pain relief and IV fluids.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and recovery staff.
• Educate patients and families on post-op instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to protocols.
