Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position in a hospital setting. The role requires 2+ years of nursing experience and ACLS/BLS certification, with BSN preferred. You will provide post-anesthesia care, support interdisciplinary teams, and coordinate care to ensure safe patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• PACU/ICU/critical-care/ED/perioperative experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU within a hospital setting, providing post-anesthesia care.
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from surgery or procedures.
• Coordinate care as a primary point among disciplines.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and physician orders.
• Assist with discharge planning and education as needed.
• Follow Standard Precautions and PPE requirements.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with decisive judgment.
