Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp/PACU for a 13-week assignment in State College, PA. The role focuses on perioperative care before and after anesthesia, including assessment, intervention, and patient education.

You will join a dedicated clinical team and enjoy travel-friendly benefits while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. The position requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of Pre/Post-Op experience; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN or similar perioperative role.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively and post-operatively to identify risks and recovery needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide education on procedures and post-op care.
• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery and manage pain and vital signs.
• Administer medications per approved nursing techniques and document findings.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care.
• Deliver patient and family education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance.
