Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Lincoln, Illinois. The OTA will work under an OT to implement treatment plans and help patients regain daily living skills during a 35-hour work week with days shifts.

Applicants should have a current BLS, NBCOT (COTA), state licensure, and at least 1 year of OTA experience. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in a travel staffing context.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
NBCOT (COTA) certification and BLS are required.
State licensure is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
Document patient performance and progress per guidelines.
Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on independence techniques.
Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support care.
Comply with state licensing rules and facility standards.
