Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Vaux Hall, New Jersey. The role requires 1 year of OTA experience, a current BLS and COTA certification, and state licensure.

You will work under an OT to implement treatment plans and support patient independence in daily activities. The position offers a 10-hour day shift, 30 hours per week, and a travel-based employment arrangement with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT (COTA) certification.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT for treatment adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
