Job summary

TotalMed in Burlington, NJ seeks a travel Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients under the supervision of an OT. You will help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living skills and participate in implementing tailored treatment plans.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 30 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts. Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA), and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification.
• State-specific licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
