TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Vaux Hall, New Jersey. The OTA will work under an OT to help patients develop daily living and work skills, implementing tailored treatment plans.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and COTA/NBCOT certification, and state licensure. The role emphasizes patient progress documentation, safe lifting, and collaboration with the care team, with 10-hour days and 30 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an OT Assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.

• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on independence in daily activities.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and facility standards.
