Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Vaux Hall, New Jersey. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living skills.

Responsibilities include delivering therapies, monitoring progress, documentation, and education for patients and families. Must have 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• State licensure is required.
• BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
